Voice Dampening

Does it dampen the sound well?

Sound dampening of 20 dB to 30 dB is accomplished for mid to high frequencies, which are the most disturbing ones for the human ear. 10-15 dB sound dampening at low frequencies

When sitting in the same room it is still possible to hear the voice, but with a lower volume and a muffled tone, much less disturbing than the
standard voice range.

Why nose-free

Having the nose not covered allows for better comfort. Breathing is easier and the maks fits better the face.

Does it seal well around the face?

The sealing works very well while being comfortable. Made of memory foam in the inside, is one of the most important characteristics of the mask. Masks with seals made of silicone, like medical breathing masks or snorkel masks, require high pressure to seal. That is not the case with our memory foam seal, which with a little bit of pressure is enough to seal the sound. Besides, the multiple sizes help to adapt to each face.

Can it be cleaned?

The OMBRA can be cleaned by using a soft cloth or soft sponge with a bit of warm water to prevent dirt from built-up. Let the OMBRA dry naturally, under no circumstances use
dryers or similar methods.

How much is the international shipping?

It doesn't matter where you live. The shipping is completely free internationally!
From Feb. 2024 we cover also customs and import fees from delivering at your country.

How do I know which size is best for me?

To judge the ideal size of your mask, measure from above your upper lip (below the nose) to the back of the head at the neck area, circling around.

For the VEKTA Soundproof Mask:

  • If it is 53cm or less: S/M is the suitable choice.
  • If it is 54cm or more: L/XL is the recommended size.

For the OMBRA Soundproof Mask:

  • If it is 53cm or less: S/M is the suitable choice.
  • If it is 54cm or more: M/L is the recommended size.

If you are unsure and around the limit, we recommend the smaller size (S/M) as the safest choice! This advice is for both masks. The mask being a bit smaller is always fine, while a bit too large makes it harder to have a tight seal.
