Solving minor issues! VEKTA Manufacturing Update: Shipping in November

if you pre-ordered the new VEKTA Soundproof Mask we have an important update for you. Unfortunately, the estimated shipping date has been pushed back 3-4 weeks due to a a couple minor issue in the first produced units, before entering mass production. We are using the opportunity to improve a few things too.
Fixing minor issues
Silicone finish: Although minor marks can happen during the assembly process of silicone parts, we have experienced too many of them and it was necessary to check where they come from and what are the causes. The worst one was caused by a defect in the mold, which has been corrected, and other have by the process, which have been improved.
Silicone impurities: Related to the main mask parts, some silicone impurities have appeared, which caused mini holes, practically not visible, but that could develop to cracks. This is a material issue and after some research, it could be solved. The quality is now assured and the silicone remains food grade, which is important for a mask.
Velcro parts: Also, at the inner side of the mask there are two velcro pieces to attach both the fabrics shield and the cooling pad. The function is just to hold those in place and the force is very small. However, the edges started peeling off and at some points will fall down. We have changed to a better glue, adapting the shape and velcro hook surface too.
In the assembly process other minor problems arised, which needed to be corrected although they were related to the process, not the components themselves. The delays are caused mostly for the prototyping of the components and their manufacturing.
Opportunity for improvement
After the pilot run, in which a few dozens of masks were finished and the issues discovered, we are getting some feedback. There are also units arriving to reviewers, which will publish independent reviews soon (stay tuned).
One of the improvements is the addition of side tone. Now, if you use the mask with the earphones connected to the mask, you can hear your own voice. The effect is better than expected and it reduces the feeling of wearing the mask. It is difficult to describe in words, although you might now the effect from side tone in headsets. The motivation for the improvement was a few gamers that stated it is not a nice-to-have option, but a feature that makes the mask usable or not.
Another improvement is the color. If you check the current product pictures, the difference between silicone parts color and plastic parts is too big. We are making them them a similar color, a bit more towards dark gray or black. New pictures coming soon.

What is the status?
Issues are practically solved, with tests showing all working well, and modified components are being manufactured. The new shipping plan for the VEKTA is the second part of November and we are giving our best to finished it as soon as possible while assuring the great product you want.
